Job Brief:

As an Electronic Security Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining electronic security systems to protect assets, facilities, and personnel from unauthorized access, theft, vandalism, and other security threats. This role involves analyzing security requirements, selecting appropriate electronic security technologies, and overseeing the installation, configuration, and testing of security systems. The Electronic Security Specialist collaborates with internal stakeholders, security personnel, and external vendors to ensure the effectiveness and reliability of electronic security solutions

Responsibilities:

  1. Security Systems Design: Assess security risks and requirements to design electronic security systems tailored to the organization’s needs, including access control systems, surveillance cameras, intrusion alarm systems, and intrusion detection systems at perimeter.
  2. Technology Selection: Research, evaluate, and select electronic security technologies and products based on performance, reliability, cost-effectiveness, and compatibility with existing infrastructure and security policies.
  3. System Installation and Configuration: Oversee the installation, configuration, and integration of electronic security systems, ensuring adherence to manufacturer specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  4. Testing and Validation: Conduct thorough testing and validation of security systems to ensure proper functionality, performance, and compliance with security objectives. Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues or discrepancies.
  5. User Training and Support: Provide training to end-users, security personnel, and other stakeholders on the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electronic security systems. Offer ongoing support and assistance to address user inquiries and concerns.
  6. Security Policy Compliance: Ensure compliance with organizational security policies, standards, and guidelines related to electronic security systems. Implement security controls and measures to mitigate risks and vulnerabilities effectively.
  7. Vendor Management: Coordinate with external vendors, contractors, and service providers for the procurement, installation, and maintenance of electronic security systems. Manage vendor relationships and oversee the quality of work performed.
  8. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reports related to electronic security systems, including system configurations, maintenance logs, incident reports, and compliance assessments.

Requirements and Skills:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, electronics, Information Technology, or related field experience 10 year. Relevant certifications (e.g. MCP, CCNA, Milestone, Genetec)
  2. Proven experience in designing, installing, integrations and maintaining electronic security systems, preferably in a corporate, government, or industrial environment.
  3. In-depth knowledge of electronic security technologies, including access control systems, video surveillance systems, intrusion detection systems, and alarm monitoring systems.
  4. Proficiency in network infrastructure, IP-based security systems, and integration protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, SNMP, ONVIF).
  5. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to assess complex security requirements and recommend effective solutions.
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
